Assessor Comments
A good line of 80 x August/ September 2024 Drop Angus heifers. Weaned and educated in early February. Rennylea and Hazeldean Blood, the heifers are in good health, currently grazing oats, this group is averaging 800 grams/ day over a 90 day period. A sound group of heifers that are suitable for joining or will perform very well on feed. The heifers are good to handle and will continue to grow if given the opportunity on pasture or crop. Weighed between 270kg and 340kg. Buyers can take the opportunity to buy healthy weaned heifers of quality breeding and proven performance. The heifers are just starting to clean up their coat and will tidy up with warmth and sunshine, a number of heifers were noted to be cycling for those intent on buying joinable heifers. Ellendon places selection emphasis on above average growth, carcase and IMF EBVS.
Note: Ellendon will offer 80 x heifers in today’s sale. To be delivered in 2 x groups of 40hd two ways out of the crush.
