These weaners were quiet to handle and very settled through the assessment process. They have had ample human interaction due to supplementary feeding and are content as a result. Typical of young weaned calves they move freely with pressure.

Assessor Comments
Offering weaned poll Hereford heifers due to the tight seasonal conditions. Wirruna and Yavenvale blood Poll Hereford sires have been the staple for the herd. They are out of large framed cows and they will grow given time and feed. These weaners are late August-October 2024 drop presenting in fresh store condition and carrying no excess fat cover but have not had a set back. They offer immediate compensatory weight gains with a change in diet and are presumably the younger of the drop given the weights. They have been properly yard weaned and are ready to go. It would be expected to have an odd weeping eye by delivery due to dusty conditions but at assessment no issues are present. Easy doing white faced heifers that will suit taking on to feeder or kill weights or even into a breeding program for the promising future cattle market. Opportunity for someone with grass or the ability to feed to capitalise in the current market.
