Assessor Comments
A terrific line of Angus weaner steers offered on behalf of the renowned local breeding property 'LarnOO'. Bred on some of the most magnificent country the district has to offer, these steers lack for nothing. They are sired by high indexing Lawsons Angus and Rennylea sires these cattle are proven elite performing steers in both feedlot and grass fed operations.
These steers were yard weaned for approximately one week, and since been running on irrigated river flats and have also been fed silage and vetch hay with growth rates reaching 1.6kg per day.
These steers are very well bred and will not disappoint, weighed into an extremely tight weight range of 315kg to 338kg at the time of assessment makes these steers very even, and should continue to be that way through to finishing. The odd old pinkeye scarring was noted but considered not to be detrimental.
Note: Vendor also offering another lot of steers in same sale.
