plenty of run in them as they were only weaned yesterday. They are not angry just some of them are a bit fast. Given another week in the yards they will settle right down. In the bigger pens they were calm its just in the round yard with pressure on them they got a bit fast, which is normal at weaning.

53 Aug/Sep 25 drop Angus heifers. They have been running with mum up til monday 3rd Aug, where they were yard weaned then assess on Tuesday the 4th. As you can imagine they had a bit of run in them at assessment though all stood on the portable scales without too many issues. They will stay in the yards on water and hay until delivery, so they will hollow out, get muddy and lose their bellow. The herd originally started on Banquet cows though others have been purchased in since, and Bulls are sourced from Bushy Park Angus. They will be drenched and vaccinated with 5in1 before delivery. Some animals are showing signs of lice / rubbing. No hfrs have been retained, these are the tops from this part of the farm. A tail was removed.
