Assessor Comments
A smart line of NSM Angus heifers. Ideal to background for feed lot or kill markets or if desired suitable for a breeding program. The vendor bred heifers are Rennylea blood and the bought in heifers were sourced out of store sales in NE Vic (last purchase 26/06/25) and consist or a variety of lines. 100% weighed 230kg plus after a solid 6 hour curfew which included drafting, sorting then assessing. These cattle are bunk trained and currently on a silage, hay and straw dominant TMR with lupins and barley present. All health treatments are up to date including a shot of MH+IBR and the hard yards are behind them. They are on the do having gained weight since being in containment and are starting to hit their straps. Initially purchased as a trade but due to the slow start to spring, feed is being prioritised for the breeding herd. They are antibiotic free and represent the top draft with a lighter tail retained. Ideal heifers for a spring trade onto grass or to continue on a feed ration.
