Vendor has done a good job with educating these steers in the yards. Cattle were run in with bikes out of the paddock the morning of assessing in a large group and considering this, they were easily handled whilst assessing. There was a small portion of steers that were slightly stirry when confined in the crush and approximately a third of the mob did look to run into the next yard when gates were opened. Once assessed and put into their respective groups the steers became very placid and calm

Assessor Comments
On offer is a quality line of 98 weaned Bongongo blood Angus steers. This group were weighed in a tight weight bracket between 244-299kgs LW. These steers have had a tail removed. They are presenting in their working clothes, with frame and little condition. In saying this, these cattle with the right feed in front of them will absolutely fly along and have excellent compensatory gains given their breeding and condition. Steers would usually be further advanced weight wise at this time of year, but the season and feed availability has not allowed for this. On offer in the same sale are another lot of 112 steers out of the same drop. Steers come highly recommended and are noted performers. For any further information please call assessor.
