Generally quiet steers, the cattle on Ellendon are very well educated and move through the yards with ease. The steers were yard weaned and in due course with proper handling will settle to be docile cattle.

Assessor Comments
An excellent line of 110 x August/ September 2024 Drop weaned Angus steers. Weaned and educated in early February this group represents a lighter draft of the 24 drop Ellendon steers. Rennylea and Hazeldean Blood, these steers come highly recommended. The steers are being offered to provide room for the main group of steers. Ellendon has consistently sold heavy feeders to the market at 13/14 months of age. The steers are very good to handle and will move ahead given the opportunity on pasture or crop. Nicely bred steers with length of body, weighed out less than 225kg curfewed. Being offered as the season dictates, buyers can take the opportunity to buy weaned steers of quality breeding with proven performance. This is not the tail, a 15% tail was removed at assessment.
Note: Ellendon will offer a further 60 x top of the drop steers in today’s sale.
