Steers were a pleasure to handle in all areas of the yards. There is the odd steer that can be a bit fast if you allow them to become isolated. Very quiet out in the big yards while being photographed and videoed. they do need to be steadied through gateways which is normal procedure. Very quiet out in the cooler and easy to handle on motor bikes.

Assessor Comments
Best described as Brahman and Brahman cross steers that provide a fantastic opportunity for producers especially up in the north/west to purchase some backgrounder steers to put away and utilize the magnificent feed conditions at their disposal. The season from basically Blackall all the way to Richmond is generally very good with only a couple of drier patches. It has now clicked over to autumn, would look like many will go into the winter months with a good body of feed capable of achieving good weight gains. Ideal to take to heavier weights and direct into an export feedlot or take to bullock weights. Most are mainly softer crossbred types, they are proven performers and are regularly offered on A+. In a tick free area and ready to go next Monday with limited freight to consider. Should provide plenty of compensatory weight gain, they were yarded in 42 degree heat at 4pm the day prior to assessment with an overnight dry curfew. There are 204 offered with delivery into 2 even lots.
