Calves were a pleasure to draft and assess. Walked through the race and stood on the scales with a minimum of fuss. Exited the crush in a calm, steady fashion. Walked quietly back to their paddock once let out of the yards. No hesitation in recommending the temperament

Annual offering of the Darlow Family Steer Weaners. Heavy boned, Hicks ABC Composite Steers that offer the best of both worlds carrying the black coat and all the Hybrid Vigour of the Hicks Beef Composite blood to give them that extra punch. Steers have come through a very tough, trying winter/spring period with limited growth but have performed well and weaning weights are better than expected given the season. Well bred steers that will make outstanding kill bodies or heavy feeders. Calves show good muscle development, bone and softness and all weighed 281kg & above at assessment. Steers are grass fed and antibiotic free and vendor can provide a PCAS Non-Certified Supplier Declaration on request.
