Very quiet weaners to handle, their temperament is a real feature of these steers. All walked through the yards easily and only the very odd steer slightly agitated in the crush. They were very easy to handle as a mob after weighing and would suit the most discerning cattle person.

Assessor Comments
These steers are part of the Team Te Mania Progeny Test group - a progressive group of Angus producers where performance data is collected throughout the life of all progeny and all females are recorded on the ACR. This lot represents the lead draft (B-Double line), all individually weighed 316kg+ (316-438kg) with an overnight curfew to average 345kg at assessment - please note there is a total of 251 steers are being offered in this sale. 72% of the drop are by leading A.I sires (see sire IDs in extended breed description). These steers have come through the weaning process well, being feedlot/ bunker trained for 6 weeks and have been on pasture more recently. The average IMF EBV in the herd is +4.2, which is nearly double the seedstock average, which is testament to the breeding objectives targeting high-end, long fed Angus programs. Their quiet temperament is a real feature, all very quiet/ docile to handle. These are first class steers, some of the best in the country, they will not dissapoint.
