Steers work well through yards although need steadying through gateways as with all western cattle handled in big mobs good stock handling technique needs to be used as cattle will move freely away from pressure . Some became agitated in crush or confined spaces but settled once returned to mob.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a good line of store condition USDA NOP Organic, Gap certified feeder steers. Steers purchased as lightweight weaners from Hale River Cattle Co in June 2025 and have performed well since a break in the season in January. Ideally suited to take through to the Lucrative Organic slaughter market as they predominantly show the frame and bone to go on to make a bullock, alternatively they are drafted into a 100 day feeder weight spec for the conventional buyer. Please note some steers show fly rub mark on neck and two have slight blight scarring in one eye. Vendor has 3 lots of brothers this sale,
