Heifers considering they have only just been weaned were actually very good to handle in all areas of the yards. In the bigger yards there were some ring leaders that still have a small amount of trot in them which is quite normal and makes the balance follow the leader a bit.

Buyers a line of PCAS ELIGIBLE Composite weaner heifers that are mainly flat back types and should be ideal to suit to background for domestic feeder entry weight specifications. The bulls used to produce these heifers are basically a flat back type and as such there are very few that have any amount of hump/ear but the video will be a good guide. These have only been off the cows for about 5 days and have already settled down very well temperament wise. I would suggest a fair amount of these have been self-weaned by their mothers and as a result I would envisage good compensatory weight gain provided they go onto some improved pastures or oats crops. These are also highly suited for a restocker to purchase and grow out with a view to using in a future breeding operation, suited to mate to any breed of bull. All up at the property there are about 450 weaners being offered in the sale. Pre-treated for ticks.
