Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These heifers worked up the race and through the scales very quietly. with the exception of 2 they all stood quietly while being weighed. They were all very settled and quiet to walk through in the yards and pen up. None stirred up in the pound. Previous buyers have commented on the excellent temperament of these cattle.

Assessor Comments
A very good run of Simental X heifers on offer here buyers. Due to the very wet start this year some of these were not branded as calves and have horns. These heifers display tremendous softness and quality and are renowned performers. They are beautifully quite to walk through, pen up and they came through the pound up the race very steady. They have been bred on light country and always perform well. These heifers are out of a cow herd that has been using Simental as its base for many years. Sires are from Billa Park, Ticoba (red Simental) Moongool, Casa Toro and Summa Simental and Bettafield Charolais and the odd Droughtmaster. A large percentage of these heifers show the traditional Simental markings and others are showing the more the red or black influence and some straight Droughtmasters. They are of the quality to make future breeders or grow out as feeders or the slaughter market. One heifer in the mob with a stumpy tail and one with a small amount of rain scald on her neck.
