Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Generally heifers were good to handle, but did sweat up and some showed a bit of run when in close confines. Yards were wet and muddy which contributed. No issues when photographing and videoing in laneway, although some heifers were wanting to be constantly on the move. They will likely settle (as the Halfpenny cows do) with further handling and maturity.

Assessor Comments
The lead draft of the Halfpenny Green spring drop Angus heifers. Principally Banquet & Pathfinder blood, vendor spares no expense on genetics, with proven performance in the feedlot and on grass. Heifers have been yard weaned with a drench, 5-in-1 vaccination and Multimin. A 25% tail has been removed from the mob, with only the top spring drop heifers offered for sale. The Halfpenny Green herd comprises 700 spring & autumn calving cows with the 2020 autumn heifer drop providing sufficient herd replacements, offering the opportunity for prospective purchasers to acquire the lead of 2020 spring drop heifers. Quality Angus heifers with plenty of breeding, ideal to take on to join later in the year or background into the feedlot or processor markets.
