UPC SPEND A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME AT WEANING TO SET CALVES UP. THESE GUYS ARE NO DIFFERENT. GREAT TO HANDLE, MOVE OFF YOU A LITTLE AND WILL BLOCK UP. THE ODD STEER WAS A LITTLE PUSHY WHILST COMING ONTO THE CRUSH, BUT RESPONDED WELL WHEN MADE TO BACK UP AND WAIT THEIR TURN.

AS MENTIONED, CALVES ARE BY HIGH INDEXING BULLS FROM BOTH THE MILWILLAH AND TABLE TOP STUDS. STEERS IN PREVIOUS YEARS HAVE BEEN WELL SORT AFTER BY BACKGROUNDERS AND FEEDLOTTERS ALIKE. UPC IS IN THE TOP 30% IN KILLARA'S BENCH MARKING. BECAUSE OF CONFINEMENT FEEDING, OUT OF THE TOTAL, 63 STEERS HAD A BLEMISH IN AN EYE, WHILST 137 HAD SOME FORM OF RINGWORM.
