These heifers were responsive to pressure. They were settled on the scales with only the one being unsettled. They were settled for the video (see attached) following assessing. Typical of unweaned calves to handle.

Assessor Comments
Offering the 2024 drop weaners off Barrabooka due to the sale of the property. The Barrabooka herd was originally developed on Tuwharetoa Angus (Tarcutta) genetics before transitioning to Hazeldean Angus approx 10 years ago. 50% of the dams in this calving were purchased ex Kenny’s Creek Angus stud and these are the offspring. They are July/August 24 drop and out of large framed, big boned, deep bodied cows with presence and sired by a Hazeldean bull. They are unweaned and their mothers are being offered in today’s sale also. Coordinating delivery will be required. Given the current summer conditions pink eye is about and the odd weepy eye would be expected at delivery. 1 head was treated at assessment. Should any not be recovering by delivery they will not be loaded. These heifers are from the heart of the herd and are a picture. They are not classed presenting a range of options for purchaser. Vendor is offering the brothers in today’s sale as well as the autumn drop weaners.
