Nice quiet steers that were very good to handle through the race and crush. Five head were mildly agiated either in or exiting the crush. All settled in the yards and were excellent to handle in the yards.

A good to very good quality line of vendor bred weaned steers. With medium to mostly large frame they suit to take and grow out to the top end of export feeder markets. They are also Grassland accredited and would suit to finish for a range of high quality grass slaughter markets. This is the top end of this years Castletop steer drop and they show good weight for age. Normally taken through to export feeder weights they are being sold to keep space for females over winter. Four steers were noted with mild blue eye spots in one eye and two steers with a slight amount of white on the rear underline. The vendor buys good quality bulls and these steers are mostly by Booroomooka bulls with some Eaglehawk blood in the herd from some purchased females. They were yard weaned in early March and have continued to move ahead since weaning. Very good quality steers that will keep moving forward with good feed.
