Heifers worked well through the yards and race with a handful getting agitated in the crush as listed above but the majority exited quietly and any agitated heifers seemed to be happy enough once back with their group. In the big yards the heifers moved off us freely with an odd heifer wanting to go through the gate quicker than the others, but cattle that easily blocked up and worked by competent stock people.

B Double of quality bred Angus heifers coming out of a tight southern winter and ready to explode shown some quality feed and warmer weather. These girls have been wintering in the hill country and present with plenty of frame in their working clothes and are bred out of volume females carrying Ardrossan, Hazeldean and Jarobee bloodlines with a reputation for progeny being noted performers in grass and feedlot environments. Noted a few heifers with old ringworm scarring around face and neck and a very odd heifer with white on udder/flank. Note a smaller than usual top was retained out of this group as future breeders and a 25 % tail end also removed. Greenham Never Ever accredited and PCAS Grass Declaration available at purchasers request. Heifers suited to take on and join for a breeding program or fatten in to heavy kill heifers.
