Steers work well through yards although need steadying through gateways as with all western cattle handled in big mobs good stock handling technique needs to be used as cattle will move freely away from pressure . Some became agitated in crush or confined spaces but settled once returned to mob.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a rare opportunity to secure a one brand line of lightweight store condition USDA ,NOP ORGANIC , GAP CERTIFIED weaned steers, all the hard work has been done with steers presenting in store condition and offering big compensatory gains to the successful purchaser . Steers were purchased from Hale River Cattle Co as lightweight weaners earlier in the year and have performed well since , powering ahead on better feed while still showing all frame and no weight. Ideally suited to take through to the Lucrative Organic feeder of slaughter market , alternatively for the non organic buyer they will suit all grass fed programmes as no hormone or grain. Please note some steers showing signs of being cut late and some showing signs of lice rub marks neither considered detrimental..Vendor also has 5 lots of brothers this sale
