Cattle were very nice to handle. Operated well in a round yard & through the race/crush. Boco Pastoral take a lot of pride in their weaning program. Odd weaner got excited in the crush but settled back into mob quickly.

A light BDouble lot of weaned steers out of the renowned Boco Pastoral herd. Boco cattle are known for their doability with Boco Pastoral steers recently receiving 'Champion Feedlot Performance' in the 2024 Beef Spectacular Feedlot Trial with Boco cattle finishing in the top 10% each year for feedlot performance. The same year, Boco finished 3rd in the Feedlot & Carcass section which is a credit to the cattle with Hereford influence in a competition more weighted to the carcase results and Angus cattle. These steers are sold annually in the Monaro Weaner sales in March but tightening seasonal conditions wont allow. Mustering began on Monday 12th Jan and weaning commenced Thursday the 15th in wet conditions and will be kept in weaning yards on lucerne hay until delivery. Excellent opportunity to secure high quality, noted doing cattle at light weights to take through to domestic and export kills.
