Assessor Comments
121 VGQ HGP Free Vendor Bred Santa Cross Steers. Majority Exhibit Good Bone, Length, Depth and Frame for their age. They are well suited to grow out to Heavy Feeders or Bullocks with majority also suitable for the Supermarket Trade. They are Quiet, have Good Feet & are from a Well Regarded Herd. They were weaned in April this year & are acclimatised to paddock conditions with a heap of compensatory weight gain on offer. There are 10 x Late Cut Steers that would have been processed at weaning in April that are still softening up. There is 1 x Steer with a fist sized water bag in his purse & 1 x Steer that looks like he had scours & is cleaning up around the tail (last photo). Ayrshire has some Prickly Acacia which is in seed at present. Vendor has another 2 decks of heavier Steers in the same sale. It would be appreciated if buyers could deliver in a similar timeframe.
