Assessor Comments
Buyers a good quality line of lightweight weaned heifers from Paspaley Pastoral Company. They are regular users of A+ and the surplus heifers this year from “Thornthwaite” have presented in store condition. It is very dry here, so the decision has been made to quit them now in an effort to retain feed for mature aged females. These are extremely well-bred heifers and would suit a restocker looking to retain as future breeders or background up to domestic feedlot entry specifications. They are a mix of straight Angus and F1 & F2 Angus/Poll Hereford cross types. They are very good to handle in all areas of the yards and appear heathy with minimal eye issues. There is photo attached that is an example of the state of a few with very minor eye lesions that were noted but there appears to be no sight problems. There is also a small lot of slightly older heifers and small lot of steers from the same property that are also included in the sale. Parallel assessment Jono McMahon & Jake Evans.
