Assessor Comments
128 VGQ HGP Free Crossbred Steers. Majority exhibit very good bone, length & depth for their age with good feet & they are very quiet. They are well suited to grow out to Trade or Heavy Feeder weights with majority having the capacity to make very good Bullocks. There are 93 steers suitable for the Supermarket Trade with the remaining 35 considered a Flatback. There are 102 Vendor Bred steers & 26 steers that were purchased locally 4 months ago. The purchased Steers & 2 x Vendor Bred No.4's were mouthed, all with solid milk teeth. They weighed 290 - 400 kg to average 339.2 kg at assessment (overnight curfew off feed & water). Majority have been weaned for a minimum of 2 weeks, with the exception of 15 head that got back to their mothers. Please refer to above trait table, to be factored into bidding. Wando has Prickly Acacia however Steers will be fed in the yards until delivery so should pass most viable seed. Vendor has own Transport so can deliver at competitive rate if required.
