Steers were very good to handle in all areas of the yards and also considered quiet when moving from yard to yard. In the crush they were generally quiet whilst being weighed. Generally, the temperament is not an issue at all. Buyers should be warned however, most cattle need to be settled down on arrival after a truck trip and in strange surroundings before they are shown the bush gate.

Buyers, good quality weaner steers best described as Composites. These have been bred in light forest type country so anticipate excellent weight gains on better quality heavy developed scrub soil country. Present in good condition and have handled the weaning process well despite the rain whilst being in the yards. Vendor has had great success in the Callide Dawson Carcass Competitions over many years including 2nd in Pen of Three Grain Fed Steers this year, and are doing an excellent job breeding flatback type cattle to suit the domestic supermarket trade. Vendor is a regular user of A+ and we are finding repeat buyers operating on these cattle. Backgrounders advised to buy these and see how they perform, guarantee you’ll be back for more. Guaranteed clear on farm of cattle ticks to allow ease of travel into tick free areas.

Delivery Comments
Purchaser to give 24 hours notice prior to delivery. All cattle to be trucked no later than Monday the 4th August. Delivery to tick areas can be earlier (Friday/Saturday) if required.
