Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
These cattle had a tough start but have improved significantly since being on agistment. As they continue to grow, they still lack fat cover, though they have enough energy and strength to travel long distances, provided spelling is managed appropriately. Fit-to-Load standards will be followed at delivery

Assessor Comments
A rare Western Queensland opportunity – 266 Southern NSW-bred Hereford and Composite steers, offered in two even runs of 133 head. These steers present in store condition and are ready to perform given the right opportunity. They had a tough start but have improved significantly since going on agistment at Longreach in May. The cattle are very well handled, quiet to work in the yards, and flowed smoothly through the race and crush. They will be offered as a 2 x 133 head run-out-the-gate. All steers were weighed and assessed, with a 50-head sample mouthed showing only 1 with two teeth. There is one steer at 401kg however the next lightest is 367kg giving a 147kg spread however visually they look very even. Across the mob, 6 head were noted with white or blue eye, and 40 with rub marks. These cattle represent an excellent chance to secure well-bred steers with strong genetic backing. Vendor offers 110 Angus cross steers and 80 heifers in the same sale - please note delivery comments.
