These weaners are settling down very quickly. They will be tailed out and handled further between assessment and delivery so would envisage these will settle down even more by then. They are not totally yard savy just yet so odd steer is easily spooked and most will always follow ring leaders. Nothing that could be described as aggressive in the mob in the bigger yards and they still need to be steadied down through a gateway, not unusual.

The Consuelo EU ACCREDITED and PCAS ELIGIBLE Santa backgrounder steers that have developed a great reputation. These have been offered on A+ for the past 8 years and they always attract plenty of repeat buyers who have commented on the great performance these steers deliver them. Most show good bone, muscling and depth of barrel. Steers in plain condition and carry no excess fat cover so I would envisage these will provide buyers with a stack of compensatory gain as they were hitting the scales physically weighing approx. 20-30kgs lighter than their weight visually. Steers look to have had no sign of any set back at any stage. Ideal for restockers to put away for the long term especially out in the western channel country areas or on crop. Clean country buyers note they are offered GUARANTEED CLEAR of the dip. These are the lighter line (long tailed) & drafted 200-260kgs. Have been on cows up until weaning on a dry cover of Buffel and native grasses. Since weaning have been in and around the yards in holding paddocks.
Returned to: Will be in holding paddocks during the day and yarded each night onto hay racks.

Will be tailed out through the day & yarded over night and fed top quality lucerne hay until delivery. Due to yard space both the heavy line and the light line are boxed for photos. Long tails are the light steers and bang tails are the heavy steers.
