Steers were good to handle throughout the assessment process. They were free flowing throughout the yards. 3% of the mob became unsettled when placed under severe pressure in the pound, crush and head bail. Once released back to the larger mob steers that were unsettled were unnoticeable.

Opportunity awaits for the backgrounder with crop, with these 4 decks of Composite steers. All branded number 4's and mouthed MILK TOOTH these steers present in store condition with high compensatory weight gains to be had on a rising nutrition plane. These steers at assessment had a weight range of 235kg to 360kg and will have a delivery weight of 278kg. The steers marked down as having horn were noted that it was predominately regrowth. The vendor has pretreated these cattle with Vetmec Injectable to aid in adhering to Tick clearing protocols. MILK TOOTH, LOW BI CONTENT % steers that are ready to excel on good feed or crop.
