Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These steers flowed very well through the yards especially being their first time through the race and crush. They did become agitated and annoyed being in the race and crush but once they were back within the mob htey were fine. At times they do rush but easily blocked. This is understandable only being weaned this week and no education had been given.

Assessor Comments
Here's something that doesn't come along often in the west: a very good run of 140 Angus/Simm Cross #4 Steer weaners. They are Vendor Bred and HGP free, with all the hard work being done. Vendor offers with their own transport FREE DELIVERY WITHIN 400km from "Thornton" Muttaburra. During the assessment, they were drenched with "Muster" Backline, weaned, and will remain in the yards on good quality Mitchell Grass Hay. They have been gaining 0.66kg since branding (172 days). A tight weight range of 220 - 320kg to an average 275kg at assessment. They are sired by very good Texas, Booroomooka, or Outwest Angus Bulls or Lancaster Black Simmental Bulls, out of medium to large-framed, well-bred Brahman X, and Brangus Cows. These steers worked very well through the yards and will thrive with the right feed. There are 10 head with very slight hump or crest.
