Very quiet, well mannered young heifers, brought up the race 1 at a time. All very easy to handle in the yards and crush. We’re excited to leave the yards as it was about the time they usually get their pellet ration! All settled in the corner for photos quietly. Lovely natured young females.

Ideal females for a dairy farmer to take on, with all the hard work behind them, just happily going along with some shorter pastures, at lib silage & a pellet ration to supplement. The Moore family switched to running a crossbred herd in recent years (And wished they’d done it sooner!), as a result, have better milk solids, greater fertility & more moderate framed cows with far less feet issues. These young females are from a good performing cow herd with a current yield of around 24Ltrs/day, 4.4% Butter Fat and 3.5% Protein. Only offered for sale sue to getting out of milking and going over to beef cattle.
