These steers are naturally a very good natured mob of weaners given the fact they were still on their mothers. They worked through the yards quite well and were put through the pound and race draft several times - despite this they were good to handle and responded well to handling.

Assessor Comments
A 4 deck line of good Calendar year branded beef master steers and their crosses; these cattle have had a good season with their mothers doing an exceptional job on them. These steers should have good weight for age (note they are Calander year branded) and will grow into good bullocks or feeder weight steers - buyers should refer to photos and video footage to breed content. The steers have been identified with a yellow button and put back in a fresh paddock with their mothers until delivery. Buyers note that some of these steers may have been self-weaned evident by fat cover. The 38 #4 Steers range from 248 - 421kg @ assessment to average 356.8kg; These steers will be drafted off separate at delivery to load 1 deck (32/deck) The 114 #5 Steers 191 range from 191 - 388kg @ assessment to average 250.3kg; These will be drafted and added to the lighter 6 left over of the #4 steers and loaded at 40/deck to give a neat 4 decks. Buyers note 2 deck run of heifers also available in this sale

PICK OF 3 FULL FLUSH HEIFERS
Palgrove Charolais
· Flush · Charolais · Sire: PLEASE SEE CATALOGUE · Dam: PLEASE SEE CATALOGUE · PK25W83E, PK25W44E, PK25W53E (Pick of 3 flush sisters) True to our word, when we release females of this calibre it’s a genuine opportunity to secure the very best our program has to offer — something we don’t do more than twice in a decade. These three full flush sisters, all from one of our elite donor females, represent a rare chance for new or established stud breeders to invest in a future donor female with enormous upside. We couldn’t split them, so the choice is yours — and what a statement they would make at the World Congress in Brisbane this August. They are out of a proven donor female and sired by Rockerfella, who sold to the Ascot Stud for $100,000 in 2022. His first sons featured in last year’s sale, with 20 sons selling to average $20,737, underlining the consistency and demand for this sire line. They also have a full flush brother from the same program who is something truly special. If we don’t retain him, he will feature as a highlight bull in the yearling section of our September sale. Their dam has an outstanding production record, with 20 recorded progeny before the age of five, returning over $100,000 in her first year of sales from just five progeny. This included Ultrahot, who sold to Futurity Charolais for $40,000, and another daughter who sold to Black Duck Charolais for $18,000 as a 10-month-old heifer, who has since entered their donor program. The granddam is also a prominent donor with progeny reaching $36,000. A further first-calf Landmark daughter retained in our herd and full sister to Ultrahot ($40,000) was flushed this year, producing 14 eggs, reinforcing the exceptional fertility and consistency of this female line. You take the choice — and ‘Make your Mark’ on the Charolais breed.
