Weaners were good to handle in the yards, they worked well through the yards having been through the draft and crush only twice prior to assessment. There was no signs of aggression from any weaners although the odd one stirred up when put under pressure or was separated from there mates. Weaners have been tailed out on bikes and with dogs and are learning the ropes well, they have also been transported internally on road trains between station yards.

A good line of 156 weaned steers presented as part of the vendors annual turnoff. The steers are currently being weaned and handled by the vendors, they are bred in tick free country north of Aramac on mostly light spinifex type country, so expect these steers to really fire ahead on better feed.
Vendor has been concentrating on lifting the flatback content of the herd with Red Angus / Composite Stabilizer Bulls sourced from Hicks Genetics, Holbrook NSW, over the last few years. The positive impact on the herd has been very noticeable, and excellent buyer feedback has been received.
