A line of Angus & Black Baldy steers bred from Angus sires including Te Mania, Jarobee, Fernleigh and Kenny’s Creek genetics over Angus & Hereford females. These steers present in working condition due to a hard season but still show plenty of frame, bone and structural quality. Under a normal season they would typically be marketed as feeder-weight steers, consistent with their breeding and growth. Steers have been previously affected by pinkeye, now carrying old, healed blemishes, and a small number show a light touch of ringworm. These issues are cosmetic only and not detrimental to their soundness or ability to perform. Despite seasonal pressure, these are hearty, tough cattle with strong hybrid vigour, and will respond quickly to good feed. With their frame, crossbred advantage and proven Angus sires behind them, they are well suited to feedlot programs or growing out into high-yielding bullocks.
