Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These cattle on a whole were good to handle both in crush and the larger yards. In the crush the slightly stirry heifers just would not fully settle in the crush and often exiting the crush quickly. In the crush the stirry heifers became agitated in and exiting the crush. In the bigger yards they were good to handle with nothing aggressive. The buffalo fly was agitating them but they were still well behaved and happy to stand and come forward to me (see photos). Good to handle in the paddock.

Assessor Comments
A line of one brand No4 and a few No 5 ex WA heifers. These heifers were assessed as 30% fair quality with the balance good to very good quality. The fair quality heifers just lacked a little frame, muscling and bone. The heifers have been at St George since late 2024 and have done well in a good season. For buyers peace of mind , they were Vet Preg tested at assessment with these bangtail heifers all 100% NDP. The buffalo fly had begun to irritate these cattle and they were visibly agitated in the yards for the photos and videos. They were subsequently treated with pour-on after assessing and should be nice and settled from assessment to delivery. Please note extended delivery period on offer. The heifers are mostly a soft crossbred through to flatback animal with approx 6 % showing higher Bos Indicus content. There is enough quality in these mostly medium frame heifers to allow them to grow on to feeder markets with the top 50% possibly suitable as future breeders.
