Assessor Comments
20 Weaned Vendor-Bred Hereford Steers A very nice line of mountain-bred Hereford steers originating from the Omeo, Benambra, and Cobungra districts. These cattle present in forward store condition, displaying quality, depth, and softness, and are well suited to grow on or finish. The steers are vendor-bred and carry renowned bloodlines including Mawarra, Karoonda, Sugarloaf, and Warragundi. They have been well weaned and handled, and are respectful of fences and electric tapes. The cattle were noted to be slightly stirry in the yards, attributed to the ad-lib, grain-free pellet ration they have been on, on which they have performed very well. A small percentage show old pink-eye scars, none of which are active or detrimental. These steers are Never Ever accredited and present a genuine opportunity to secure an even line of quality Hereford steers with excellent temperament, doing ability, and performance. Another lot of 34 heavier steers from the same line is also being offered in
