Heifers were commendably well behaved throughout assessment. They have had a lot of handling since weaning back in March and were all exceptionally well mannered being hand feed through a tough AUT/SPR. Brought up from the back yard by a single handler, leading through the race without hesitation, all but 1 heifer becoming anxious while being on the scales but settled once back in the mob.

Hillgrove Star Pastoral offer a very nice line of light weight EU/Never Ever accredited Rennylea & Te Mania Angus blood Heifers. Heifers that were weaned in March, put out on a rocky hill paddock at the foot of Mount Mittamatite, and left to work it out themselves in what was a very tough Autumn/Winter in the Upper Murray. They have since been moved onto a fresh paddock of Clover, Rye & Phalaris & are currently doing 1.7kgs a day weight gain. These heifers are freshening up in the skin & coat and are well on the do. These heifers would be an ideal line of fresh, well bred females to background over the Spring/Summer & target a feeder/Supermarket program with the genetics & reputation to back them.
