A good quality line of Vendor Bred 4.5 to 7 month old British and British/Euro cross Heifers that are ideal backgrounding cattle. Heifers have come a very tough winter period, an early weaning program along side a feeding ration twice a week have seen heifers come through this period very well and are in good stead to continued moving forward given the right opportunity. Heifers are the right cross to suit all domestic feeder and supermarket avenues along with the added advantage of being grass fed eligible to later suit all grass finished markets (grass fed and antibiotic free declaration is available on request). A great opportunity to take advantage of current market prices to secure a good low dollar investment article that can only go one way.

Herd is a base of Merilba South Devon with a cross of Angus with a very small majority of females having a splash of Charolais.

Weaned early because of the dry conditions, doing well on a short pick and a weekly ration, will go forward quickly given more grass. This cross had great results last year with up to 1.9 kg weight gains recorded on grass.
