Assessor Comments
200 (5decks) of Good Quality HGP FREE No.5 cross bred steers. At assessment after being in the yards overnight, on feed and water the steers weighed from 200-340kg to ave. 238kg. The steers are in strong store condition. They are predominately medium and large framed steers that have been bred from a Brahman and Cross bred Cow herd using Good Quality Droughtmaster, Charolais, Charbray, AngusX and Brahman bulls. The herd consists of approx. 71 DroughtmasterX, 62 BrahmanX, 36 AngusX and 31 CharolaisX steers, the BrahmanX are mostly flat back for the odd steer with hump. These steers have been bred in lighter country and will explode once on better quality feed. Ideal steers for the heavy feeder market or grass fed OX.
