Extremely well-bred tops of the drop Angus steers, out of Hazeldean and Pathfinder Cows, by stud Hazeldean bulls. These steers are normally retained for a grass fed kill program and usually taken out to 600kg for slaughter at approx. 18 months of age, though this year are regrettably being sold due to dry seasonal conditions. These calves are extremely well handled, with emphasis on temperament and are yard weaned and up to date with animal health treatments. During the weaning process over 10 days calves were moved through yards and fed ryegrass and oaten silage and returned to paddock. Please note: approx. 2 steers showing old pink eye scarring and one steer with white under belly, deemed not detrimental to sale. Black baldy calf is optional and weighed 355kg at assessment. Vendor also has one other lot in sale.
