Overall a settled group of steers to work with through drafting, weighing and assessment. Percentage of steers when put under pressure in crush or round yard became agitated, however when drafting and working with cattle in yards they were generally settled . Steers were photographed in a holding paddock and were settled/calm during this process.

On offer 25 Angus & Shorthorn Backgrounding Steers account RAY FARMING CARAGIBAL NSW. Steers are 11 to 13 months old and averaged 381KG at assessment after a 22 hour curfew and presenting in ideal forward store condition moving into Spring. Steers are vendor bred and 100% lifetime traceable. Vendor typically targets feeder market and has done so with successful feed back on steers direct into feedlots and through the Forbes CWLE. Steers are sired by Milong Angus & Oakton Shorthorn Bulls, with vendor selecting bulls on a range of traits including bulls on 400 day growth, 600 day growth, EMA and IMF. Steers were yard weaned for 14 days on the 12/3/26 and were drenched (Cydectin Platinum) and vaccinated (5 IN 1) on the 20/7/26. A line of steers backed by genetics in the box seat to take through to a heavy feeder market or for a kill, purchase with confidence!
