Calves have only been weaned 1 week and were assessed in a small set of yards with an old headbail. Well behaved as a group and easy to draft and assess. Odd calf moved around on scales but it is their first time in yards by themselves. Temperament will only improve with handling, come from a quiet, well handled cow herd.

A nice line of 26 Spring Drop Weaner Steers from the Darlow family. By the Hicks Black ABC Composite Bulls these steers offer the best of both worlds, carrying the black coat and all the Hybrid Vigour of the Hicks Beef Composite blood to give them that extra punch. Even at this young age the steers show good muscle development, bone and softness and will grow out to make ideal grass or grain fed bodies. There is a small amount of wart on a few calves and 3-4 head have some ringworm around the head & neck, this will clear up. Please see last photo for the worst ringworm. Steers are grass fed and antibiotic free and vendor can provide a PCAS Non-Certified Supplier Declaration on request.
