Assessor Comments
A run of Poll Hereford and Hereford/shorthorn heifers. They are weaned, not station mated and presenting in store condition, ideal for a spring trade. They could be taken up to backgrounder or feeder weights and beyond if required. 100% grass fed and antibiotic free. Heifers were purchased with the intention of holding for the spring but the season has not allowed. They were assessed after a long overnight curfew and offer big compensatory weight gains. They are light in fat cover but healthy in the coat and haven’t done it too tough suggesting they will respond quickly to a change in diet. With rain on the ground and on the forecast and the grass starting to grow they are an ideal low value trade article.
