Heifers were good to handle in and through the yards. They have been educated with Low Stress Stock handling practices and move well throughout the yards. Two head became slightly agitated while standing in the crush and 1 became stirry and exited the crush quickly. All settled once back together in the yards and remained calm while being photographed.

Assessor Comments
A mostly good to very good quality line of vendor bred Angus x Angus cross heifers. 64% medium framed with the balance large framed. The main Angus bloodlines are from Mooroobie Angus, Dulverton Angus and Nairn Park Angus bulls over Angus and Angus cross cows. Their LWR was 194kg - 316kg at assessment after being held overnight in a small holding paddock near yards. Two head were late calves (6 months old) with remaining being 9 - 11 months old. The top 36% of the heifers have the potential to be very good quality future breeders or suit as backgrounder heifers to take to domestic feeder weights. The heifers have been handled using Low Stress Stock handling techniques and have been educated to hay racks, troughs, single wire electric fences, dogs, horses and bikes. Heifers have not been fed grain and would suit to pasture finish for a range of high quality slaughter markets. Please note vendor also has another lot in this sale of Angus x Angus heifers that would make a full two decks.
