Buyers these heifers flowed through the yards and draft quite well considering the long boggy curfew they spent in the yards after heavy rain overnight before they could be assessed. Approx a third of the heifers were quicker in the pound and approx two thirds were unsettled in the crush whilst being weighed and pre treated. The vendor spends plenty of time educating as weaners and i believe with further handling they will settle and power ahead. Please refer to my videos for further description

Assessor Comments
Buyers please consider this crossbred line of 32 (1 deck) spayed heifers. Weighing from 258-421 kgs to avg 357 kgs at assessment after a long overnight boggy yard curfew. These heifers have all been spayed in September last year and present as ideal heavy backgrounder heifers to grow out and finish on crop, pasture or a grain ration. Grasslands accredited heifers that are surplus to requirements so were spayed and now are making room for other cattle. Pre treated with Cattlemax LV pour on to assist with movement for tick free buyers. There was no visual sign of adult tick at assessment. Please note that 3 heifers had their horns tipped slightly at assessment. Please refer to my photos and videos as part of my description. Buyers the vendor also has a (2 deck) line of 67 younger (No.5) heifers in this same sale, also spayed.
