Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Young weaned cattle in what has been a cold wet winter, low fat scores aren’t uncommon and reflective of age and current climate conditions. Heifers are fit and healthy and capable of travelling long distances if required.

These cattle are run by managers who show good stock handling skills, but cattle are rarely bought into yards throughout the year. In turn these heifers will run at open gates and won’t often stand still when in the yards with them. Overall these heifers mustered well and were drafted/weighed with no issues. No cattle assessed were aggressive in any way, but all were agitated throughout the whole process. Anyone with adequate cattle handling skills will have no issues with these heifers.

On offer is a neat line of 32 weaned NSM Angus heifers. These heifers are pure Bongongo Angus blood, showing good genetic merit to infuse into any established Angus herds or begin their own. Cattle have recently been drenched and had a 5in1 which will hold them in good stead leading into what looks to be another excellent spring season.
They are in ideal condition to have good weight gains and join to the bull of choice late spring.
