Well mannered young heifers, all leasing through the yards quietly. A few that were a bit more anxious when in closer proximity to the handler, just needing a bit more education and handling to reassure them. All led up the race well, and were quiet in the crush, just a few (6) that were a bit more anxious in the crush, doing some stomping and weaving, listed above as slightly stirry. Quiet young heifers that have been given a good start and will only improve with age & handling.

Tops of the Drop of the Acheron Valley Angus Heifers. Very nice line of young, healthy Angus Heifers in fresh, forward condition. Bred up from a self replacing herd of large framed matrons bred on the foundations of Anvil Angus genetics, then later introducing the Kelly’s Angus blood. Selecting for maternal traits & maintaining a key focus on getting live, healthy calves on the ground - targeting low birthweight, high calving ease & milk, as well as getting good early growth in to the weaners.
