Steers were nice and quiet in the yards and were very good to handle in and through the yards (see video). They were generally very good in and exiting crush with just three head that would not settle fully in the crush. No issue once they were released from the crush. The cattle have been handle using Low Stress Stock handling techniques and in the paddock are educated to single wire electric fences.

A good to very good quality line of vendor bred Angus weaner steers. With 3% small frame, 42% medium and 55% large frame they exhibit good weight for age and suit to take onto heavy domestic or export feeder weights. They have been yard weaned from the 01/03/23 onwards. During weaning they have been handled using Low Stress Stock Handling techniques and have been educated to hay racks and self feeders. They have had their first Bovilis MH + IBR vaccine in February and look fit and healthy. Their eyes were nice and clear and will be rechecked for any active pink eye prior to delivery. Two steers slight blue eye one eye, one steer warts on face, one steer short tail (no switch) - nothing detrimental. They are located just off the Barwon Highway approx 15 km west of Goondiwindi and would be easy to link into any carriers moving north or south. Good quality steers that will move ahead on good feed and suit most feeder markets.
