Heifers were very well behaved throughout assessment. All came from the back yards sensibly, no rushing through gateways. Scales stuck out the end of the crush, so had to have a pole behind them to weigh, whilst blocking the rest from pushing forward up the race. Girls all handled this quite well. Good to take photos of in the paddock, although understandably having a slightly bigger flight zone whilst on foot, compared to being in a vehicle or buggy. Easy cattle to work with and handle.

Well bred line of Heifers, being out of Hardhat Angus Cows, By high indexing Eaglehawk Angus Bulls. Cattle that have been very well produced, & have always gone forward with feed in front of them, never seeing a tough day or getting any checks or setbacks. Strong bodied Heifers with proper bone - big knees/hocks and a generally square structure about them. Heifers that would suit to join, and would all grow out to be big framed cows, or keep going forward on feed and target an export or domestic supermarket job.
