Heifers drafted freely and very well on foot as their was not pound available. Were somewhat reluctant to run up poorly designed race. The odd heifer panicked and resented being weighed and mouthed.

Assessor Comments
Good and very good quality, Angus and Angus Cross, store conditioned heifers that have been bought, weaned and handled. These heifers are being sold due to the vendor being in a dry pocket and missing out on the rain. It is expected that these heifers would have been heavier but are not, due to the value of native pasture feed quality and the extended dry conditions in this area. It is expected these heifers would have large compensatory gain on improved nutrition. All of these heifers would suit backgrounding for a trade job or taking through to heavy feeder or kill weights. The lead of these heifers have enough weight maturity and quality to be suitable to retain as breeders if required. Please note there are a further 66 heifers off the same property in the same sale.
