Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Generally very quiet cattle where most steers border on docile. Very good to handle in and through the yards. Three steers would just not fully settle in the crush and another steer was highly agitated in the crush. All settled quickly back in the mob and were not noticeable while photographing. They have been well handled using Low Stress Stock handling techniques.

Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of yard weaned vendor bred Angus steers. With medium to large frame they suit to background to export feeder weights and then crop or grain finish for a range of high quality markets. The red ear tag steers are sired by very good quality Sandon Glenoch and NB Genetics registered Angus bulls which were above breed average for 600 day growth and IMF. The blue tag steers were from PTIC young Angus cows purchased last year and are by Mosquito Creek Angus bulls. This is the lead of this years weaners and have been drafted with a small tail removed at assessment. Pink eye was active at assessment and retained steers were treated and removed from the line. They will be rechecked prior to delivery. They have been handled using Low stress stock handling techniques. They have a full Vitamin B12, ADE and 7 in 1 vaccination program and have had access to fly back rubbers in the paddock.
