Assessor Comments
A very good to excellent quality line of vendor bred weaned Steers. With medium to large frame they suit to background to heavy export feeder weights and then crop or grain finish for a range of high quality markets. These steers would normally been taken through to feeder weights and soild to local feedlots. The steers were assesed as Angus x Angus or Angus cross. The Angus cross steers show a very small amount of pizzle or some head structure that indicates some Brangus influence that some of the orginal cow base. They having been using Angus genetics for the past 7 years and the bull and female selection in the herd is focused on moderate framed, fertile, easy calving females and steers suitable to meet the high value Angus feeder market. LWR of 244-341 kg weighed after being in the yards overnight with access to a little hay. Please note other lots of weaners listed in this region to assist with freight.
